A travelogue for non-existent places
This piece depicts imagined worlds created from landscapes shot around the world, archive footage, old slides and vintage astronomy illustrations.
They are composited together to make layered landscapes that hover somewhere between the remembered and the dreamed. A nostalgia for something that never existed.
The film is fragments of a constantly evolving work in progress. It was first shown in as part of Open Quarter 2018 at Folkestone Creative Quarter and was shown at By Art Matters in Hangzhou, China in 2022.
