'Lea' derives from the Celtic word 'Lug' meaning bright or light, and the welsh word 'Li' meaning flow or current.

Lug-Li is a video work created by Oasis Enfield students and artist Sapphire Goss following a creative exploration of the Lee Navigation and the River Lea in Enfield.

"It was a good experience, made me look at the canal differently & acknowledge how beautiful my area is." Feedback from student on their exploration of Lee Navigation/River Lea.

Commissioned as part of Hinterlands - a new national programme of socially engaged arts projects along five remote stretches of waterways across England by Wales from the Canal & Rivers Trust. It was produced by Clare Maloney.
